About Yuwie

Yuwie is a relatively new social networking site and has really taken off. The site doesn't differentiate itself with the features it offers or the market that it trying to capture. On the contrary, Yuwie differentiates itself by paying its members for using the site for every action they take on the site, and even the actions resulting from them.

Once you sign up with the site, you have several different options accessible via icons displayed on the left-hand side.

These options include messages, friends, pictures, blog, schools, clubs, and favorites. As you can see, nothing new there, in fact these same features and many more are already available on other sites, but that's not the point. Yuwie has a detailed set of videos that explains how they are 'changing the game' by paying their users for 'playing around on the internet'. So how exactly are they changing the game? Let's see.

Why do I get paid?

Yuwie argues that others social networking sites are making an estimated $20 million a month while the users do all the work (social media ain't it?) and that unlike these other sites, they want to share there revenue with the users.

What do I get paid for?

You get paid for every action you take on the site. Every change you make to your profile, every picture/blog/video you post, and not only that, you get paid for every time another user looks at your profile or content that you have created or posted. On the 15th of each month, Yuwie decides (based on how much they made in the previous month) how much will be given out to each user, an amount that you can track from the 'earnings' section of your profile.

The revenue share rate for the month of August was $0.47 per thousand views.

Simple SEO Content Tips

There are many companies on the Internet offering 'Top Google Rankings' and 'Guaranteed 1st Place on Google' etc. Beware of SEO's that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a "special relationship" with Google, or advertise a "priority submit" to Google. There is no priority submit for Google.

There however are a number of things content owners can do themselves to not only refresh their websites content, but improve how the Search Engine Spiders read their site.

Below are 10 handy tips that may seem simple, but can give you some advantage over your competitors when trying to improving your ranking on the major Search Engines

1. Research your keywords - use online tools to check search volumes and competition. The greater the number of searches performed, the greater the competition fighting for traffic. However, nail it and the traffic could be yours!

2. Ensure your page content matches your Title descriptions and any Meta data (Description and Keywords). The titles and Meta data should be as accurate as possible to describe the content on that particular page.

3. Make us of the H1 tag and ensure it contains your most desired keyword.

4. Include any other important keywords within your H2 and H3 tags making sure again the content is relevant.

5. When adding links, avoid "click here" and "read more" descriptions, make link description relevant to the destination.

6. Highlight occasional keywords and phrases in bold to add emphasis for visitors. This also adds greater visibility to any important information you may have e.g. free web design quotation.

7. Do not over use keywords in your individual page content. Overuse (or spamming), can have a negative affect on how a Spider views your website.

8. When writing your copy, think about your users not just the spiders, after all it's the users you want to impress.

9. When using images within your copy, use the "alt text" tag and use an accurate description of what the image is for or what it refers to. Include keywords in Alt descriptions of images, but make them relate to the image

10. Avoid duplicate content throughout the website. Each page should be different. Try and optimise different pages for slightly (or different) keywords.

Chocolate Lime take time to discuss copywriting and search optimisation with clients prior to complete any web design project.

Blogspot Google Analytics - Why You Need to Track Your Visitors

Tracking your visitors is critical to your Blogger blogs success. You need to know how people are finding your blog, how many people are viewing each post, how many of your readers convert into customers (or ad clicks,) and how to use this gathered information to improve your traffic and conversion rates.

Google has a free tool called Google Analytics that will allow you to track almost anything that your readers and visitors do while on your Google Blogger blog. This free tool from Google is the industry standard when it comes to tracking. Don't bother with the simple traffic counters as they will not give you all the information you need. Here are some of the things you will want to keep track of:

1) Total Traffic To Your Blog

You want to keep track of how many visitors you have and what they are viewing. By keeping track of the total visits to your blog you will be able to gauge what is working and what is not. This is very important to those that are advertising or collecting names, as you already know each visitor has a value.

2) Track Conversion Rates

With Google Analytics you can keep track of specific goals. For example your blog may be setup to collect names and email addresses. Google Analytics will allow you to track what percentage of your readers give you their name and email address. You will also be able to track how your visitors found your blog (keyword, search engine, referring site or advertisement,) what page they landed on and then pinpoint the specific page that convinced them to give you their name and email (aka: a conversion.)

With this information you will be able to improve your sign-up rates in several ways. If you discover that a specific keyword sending traffic to your website has a 90% conversion rate you can work on improving your search engine rankings for that keyword. If you notice that 50% of your potential registrations leave while reading your "Terms of Service" page, you can modify that page to decrease the loss of registrations. If you see that 30% of the visitors you get from YouTube decide to convert you can focus more effort on your video marketing campaigns. There are literally hundreds of other metrics you can use to improve your conversion rates as well, but without tracking your visitors you would never discover them!

3) Track The Physical Location Of Your Visitors

If you advertise online (specifically with Google Ads) Google Analytics will be immensely valuable to you. Google can log where your visitors are physically located. First by country then drilled down from there. You may discover that 90% of your traffic is for some reason coming from a specific city in California. Based on this metric you could create a targeted advertisements for that specific location. Not only would you save money on your ad campaigns, your ads would be far more targeted to the location. On top of that, if you ever plan on hosting an event, you will know which cities will be easiest to market to.

Data is collected over time. Even if you don't know how to read it, make sense of it or improve your website from it, it is absolutely critical that you start tracking your sites visitors immediately. You will eventually need to access this priceless data.

If you need help setting up, installing or configuring Google Analytics for your Blogger blog join us at TakeOnTheNet and we will show you the step by step process. You will find dozens of other Blogger Search Engine Optimization techniques as well!

Earn Fair Money From AdSense

Google AdSense is a product of Google that places advertisements on your Website. When a visitor clicks an ad you will earn per click. Now it is free to join if you want people to continue to visit your Website and click on ads, you have to have new content. If you leave the same old information you will not have many loyal visitors.

There is a lot of talk about people making much money using Google's AdSense program. Quick, attractive and very easy to use, this money making program is very reputable, fair, and constant.

The Website owner gets a piece of code under Google AdSense program. You can show it on your Website at any place that you like, your income depends on it that how many surfers came to your site and clicks on those advertisements. This program depends on CPC (Cost Per Click) and CPM (Cost Per Mille)

Google could not tell you how much income you get per click. Your income depends on this that the advertisers have given how much money to the Google for the advertisement. Probably this money may be between $0.05 to $12 per click. Google will not issue a AdSense payment until your earnings exceed $100.

Therefore the income from this program has the following simple method.

• There should be increased traffic on your site.
• Your income could be as much as many visitors came to your site.
• The visitors who came to your site must click on the Ad.

Some keywords as for examples make money, M.P.3, Debt free etc. can give you more money because these are much more searched on the web.

There are some guidelines when you apply Google.

1. Your Website must be your own top level domain.
2. Your domain name should be registered before six months.
3 The information which you have given at the time of registration that should be match with the domain registration.
4. Content should be original.

Do's and Dont's ?

1. Your Content should be original and similar to the topic of your site.
2. Google does not specify a page number requirement but it is good if it is not less than 15 pages.
3. You should read carefully about the guidelines to the Google before you apply.
4. Do not tell your friends, visitors, and anyone to click on your Google ads. Google takes very serious view about this matter.
5. Do not click on your own ads - Google is very alert for this and find out invalid clicks through IP addresses,
6. You can put up to three AdSense units on a page. You can also add two AdSense for search boxes and three ad link units.
7. Size and shape of ads for placing on your contents are available. These can be text or image ads or both. You should specify what you will allow. Ad units are full ads. Link units are simply a strip of text links that your visitors might want to click.

Now that you know the three keys to Google AdSense income, click-through rate, earnings per click, and traffic, it's time to start creating a decent income through Google AdSense.

How to Make Money With AdSense

How to Make Big Money With AdSense Fast

The Google AdSense program is one of the most popular advertising programs on the internet. Each day more webmasters realize that they can increase their internet revenues by strategically implementing AdSense on their websites. Unfortunately most websites do not optimize their potential to make the most money with AdSense. The click through rates are so low that the income generated is almost negligible. However this can be fixed very quickly by making a few simple changes. Here are a few AdSense optimization tips that can help to increase your overall earnings:

Tip 1: Put Ads Above The Fold The section of your website that is seen when the site first loads without having to scroll down is consider 'above the fold'. This is an important part of your site since it gets plenty of attention. It is not necessary to flood this part with ads but rather you can subtly add a horizontal or vertical link unit mixed in with the rest of the content. Maintaining a good ad to content ratio is important so never flood a site with just ads.

Tip 2: Use Well Recognized Link Colors Blue is the standard for links on the internet. Try to make your site navigation links blue in color so that your AdSense links can blend in with the rest of your site.

Tip 3: Use the 336x280 Ad Unit This particular ad unit has a history of good performance as far as click through rates are concerned so use it whenever you can.

Tip 4: Wrap Content Around Ad Units If you have a decent length article then consider using an html table and wrap the content around the ads. This should help to dramatically increase click through rates.

Tip 5: Use The Maximum Allowable Ads The AdSense program permits 3 ad units and 2 link units. If a page has enough content then be sure to use the maximum number of ads as long as your page does not develop the flea market syndrome which occurs with too much advertising and too little content. If there is an article over 800 words in length then you should be easily able to integrate the maximum allowable ads without turning off your website visitors.

Tip 6: Make The URL Color Black Or Grey It may be best to make the url at the bottom of each ad either black or grey. This is because you want visitors to notice the headline which is created by advertisers to draw clicks so doing this places more focus on the headline of the ad.

Tip 7: Draw Relevant Ads It is important to use AdSense in niches that are advertiser heavy otherwise you will not get relevant ads. Also make sure each page is optimized properly with proper keyword meta tags, description meta tags and keyword rich title tags. Also make the url of the page keyword rich also to increase the chances of getting the most relevant ads. Use some of these AdSense tips to increase your internet revenues. Affiliate Marketing Secrets

Affiliate Marketing Secrets - How to Start an Internet Business

Recurring affiliate marketing is an internet business model that has allows workers and employees become successful business owners. This is because affiliate marketing is a low expense business that costs little to set up. With less expense means more money in your pocket that we can use on everyday needs. Unfortunately, this will not be the case for most...

1. Lack of motivation Have you ever wanted to slim down or have that 6 pack abs. So does everyone else. But does everyone attain that body? Having a desire is important, but without action, intentions are just intentions, and never turned anyone into a successful entrepeneur. Sometimes, the rigors of daily working life, starting a business is too difficult, family needs that need to be taken care of, allows us to logically explain our reason for not succeeding. Reasons are valid...still at the end of the day, results are all that matter.

Either we have a BMW in our garage, or we don't. Reasons serve to justify ourselves but do not pay the bills. "I was determined to succeed, but ...." Before my full time career online, I was working as a broker and trader. I met many people, from all over the world that spoke and looked very impressive. It does awe you in the beginning, but at the end of the day, you come to realise that out of 10 people you meet, only 1 or 2 will be the real performers.

Same goes, in affiliate marketing, network marketing, offline consulting business, many people believe that they will be the next success story, truth is, many say that they want it, but will not do enough to get it.

2. Lack of good advice A curious trend i'm beginning to see are folks teaching the subejct of internet marketing, but have no track record of ever selling another person's product. One seminar that taught others how to affiliate marketing, was just teaching its members to sell the seminar. The correct way would be to teach their students how to assist a golf company sell their golf clubs through SEO, PPC, blogging, building up customer relations.

If the reason that you did not succeed in affiliate marketing was because you attended such a seminar, that may just be a valid reason. "So how do we earn a full time income in affiliate marketing, $3000++ to $100,000?"
Here are some skills that will benefit you if you want to generate $100,000 in revenue from affiliate marketing.

- Customer needs research skills
- Pay Per Click Marketing
- Auto Responder Usage
- Basic HTML -Basic Writing Skills
- Interest To Share
- Blogging Platform Skills
- Outlook Express Skills
- WYSIWYG know how
- FTP know how
- Purchasing of Domain name
- Copy Writing Skills
- Testing of where sales orginated from Now one does not have to be versed in everything, because we can outsource much of the work, but it does pay to learn as much as you can. Here's an analogy, we don't have to be a good cook to have a chain of successful restaurants, but if we don't learn the secrets of being a good chef, we are potentially leaving ourselves at the mercy of others. It does not make sense to hire someone for $25 to ftp files to your server when it can be done in less then 5mins on our own.

Many young executives that have caught on the trend of affiliate marketing are now enjoying the new age BMW income from their computers. Learn something real and earn an income for life! Business Success Requires Marketing Success

It doesn't matter what you're selling, whether it's a product worth just 50 cents or a service that costs more than a thousand pounds, if you're not able to successfully market your business you could be destined to join the many enterprises that have been forced to cease trading. The fact is that whatever business you are in, you are really in the marketing business so you'd better learn quickly the art of marketing.

What is marketing?

You may want to start your own business or may already be in operation but do you actually understand what marketing is and how to do it in the world of 21st century technology?

A simple definition of marketing is the promotion, distribution and actual sale of a product or service. It also involves market research and advertising and without an effective marketing plan it's difficult to know who you're selling to and how to get them to buy your product.

Marketing in the 21st century has changed.

I urge business owners to make sure they understand how to market their product or service, taking into account the technological changes of the past decades and the new marketing opportunities and difficulties internet and digital technologies open up to us.

When thinking about starting or investing in a business, it is imperative that you employ a marketing plan that can cut through the mass of marketing "noise" that is out there and attract your client to you.

This means that blanket marketing to the masses is no longer an effective strategy for most businesses and it's important to get to the people who already have an interest in what you are selling. Cold-calling the masses and hoping to transform leads into sales doesn't work in the 21st century market. You need to get your customers coming to you, interested in your product or service.

There are some key marketing strategies which should help any business take a step on the road to success.

1. Your marketing message needs to quickly and clearly demonstrate the benefits of your product or service.

2. Be innovative when developing your product or service so it stands out from the crowd and gives your ideal client exactly what they're looking for.

3. Your marketing message must speak to your customers' needs - their problems, their families, and their money. In the end they don't really care about you or how wonderful your company is.

4. Get your message heard by being seen regularly and frequently by your ideal client. You need to spend time researching how to reach your client.

At the end of the day, marketing has to be your top priority in order to create a product of unique value for your customers, which in turn should help establish long-term relationships with them and encourage long term business success.

Unless you are seen as a credible person who offers a unique product or service that can solves people's problems, then you are likely to struggle in today's world.

Best Wishes

Google Gets Personal

Once upon a time I could type a term like 'e-conveyancing' into Google and know that a page from our newsletter archive on e-conveyancing would come up fourth. I have used this page as a research vehicle for search engine optimisation (SEO) and it has consistently been coming fourth for some time. If you do a search it will be... fourth.

A simple statement of fact you might think. However it is not a statement I can continue to make with a lot of confidence because in future the position of this page for this keyword is likely to be different for different people. Google is attempting to give you the very best search results based on what it knows about you, and people like you.

What does Google know about you?

If you are logged in as a Google user, say you use Gmail or have the Google toolbar, then Google knows quite a lot about you from your previous search behaviour. If not, then it has to go by the searches you have done in that session and your location, language setting and even browser.

The Google personalisation technology is the subject of a patent they took out in 2003. I wouldn't recommend reading this unless you are really serious about finding out the detail. But there is a handy summary produced by SEO by the Sea. Incidentally this website regularly analyzes patents granted by Google. Although the patent is old, it looks like these ideas are only now being implemented - but a lot of development will have been made since 2003.

The personalisation technology described in the patent application is based around the idea of groups of people. This could be as general as 'searchers in London' or 'people with an interest in conveyancing'. Some of the information may come from your location as determined by your web address, some may come from information you entered when you registered with Google and some might come from search behaviour.

Having determined your most relevant group, Google then knows what web pages tend to come up more frequently in searches by this group; what pages tend to be clicked and the sources of pages that tend to be supplied. So if 'middle-aged males with an interest in conveyancing' often do searches which result in land registry pages being returned, and they often click on them, then Land Registry pages will tend to be returned in a high position for searches on, say, house purchase, whereas the average punter might be getting pages from solicitors.

Google is also working on advertising. Up to now, the ads you see are simply determined by the keywords you typed in. If you type in 'conveyancing' you get ads from people who have purchases that keyword. The positioning of the ads is partially randomised and partially depending on the bid that the advertiser has made and the click-through rate they are achieving. A higher click-through rate means they get a better position.

In future however the ads you see will also be related to the web pages you have visited. Google knows this from previous searches you have made and which of the search results or ads you clicked on.

That is not the end of it. When you start typing keywords into Google, you notice suggestions being given to you in a drop-down below the search box. These suggestions may in the future also be biased towards your history or your group.

Is the sky falling in?

Does this change search engine optimisation?

I don't think it does. You can still find out the position of a web page for a search term, you just have to be very careful about testing. You need to clear all your browser history, clear any cookies, use a standard browser, and load the browser afresh for each search.

So when you do a test you need to make sure the conditions are completely sterile and standardised. A chemist would not find this a surprising statement, whereas some SEO gurus are talking about the sky falling in.

The problem arises when a customer has paid for search engine or pay per click optimisation, and they see different results from their SEO consultant. This needs to be explained to the client - which may or may not be easy. Now is perhaps a good time to start working on them.

Google Alerts - How to Use it the Right Way!

The web can be a pretty unsettling place. Although you have total control over your own content, you cannot control content published by others. Even Google does not remove all the content which is reported as slanderous, which suggests that nearly everyone can get away with posting content which might harm the other party.

Although you cannot always ask webmasters to remove slanderous content, knowing who is writing about you wins half this battle. Using Google Alerts, you can know exactly who has put the spotlight on you - all for free!

Google Alerts will send you alerts when people write about you, your company or your website. It is very simply to set Google Alerts up. The main issue is how to correctly use it.

Although Google Alerts can also be used to spy on your competition, I feel it is much better to use it to "track" your publicity. A good idea would be to create alerts for the following:

1. Your full name

2. Your full company name

3. Your website URL

4. Product and services name that you offer

Doing this will make sure that if someone talks about you, you will be one of the first people to know. And because you know who is writing about you, you can use this tool to engage in conversation with the writer in order to influence him/her.

For example, if someone degrades your website or services, you cannot really force the webmaster to delete the slanderous material. What you can however do it talk to them nicely, explain your point of view and clear out any misconceptions. If someone writes positive stuff about you, it is a good idea to send them a personal thank you email.

Using Google Alerts can provide you with the right information at the right time. Sure, you might receive some alerts which are not directly related to you, but the power of this tool is huge.

Small Business Marketing - Preparation is Key

When you see something done well it can look effortless. Sports is the obvious example but there are plenty of cases in the business world too. Think about great presenters you have seen, or the networker who always seems to know the right thing to say. Chances are these are not simply natural gifts, rather the result of countless hours of preparation, planning and practice.

When you are marketing, you are sending a message about your company. This message will be carried in the words, the delivery and all that relates to how the message is received. It is impossible to avoid sending such a message so it is vital adequate planning steps are taken. Failing to do so risks mistakes and appearing amateurish or perhaps even incompetent and that is not a message you want to be sending!

This is especially true of any new marketing tools and tactics you might try. Because you have seen someone else do something really well (speaking for instance) that doesn't make it easy for you to do. You haven't seen the preparation that has gone into delivering the final result. This is especially important for live interactions, but is also true for more passive methods that employ the written word (advertising, article writing, blogging etc.)

The following items of planning have particular value:

1. Target market - who is the message for and is the tool/activity appropriate?

2. Message - Do you know what you are going to say? Especially true for live interactions but also applicable to the written word

3. Know how - do you know how to do it? If not, who will help you or do it on your behalf? If you are going to learn it yourself, have you left enough time? If it isn't done well, or at least competently, it will look amateurish.

4. Testing - making sure it works. Make sure you proof read that ad! If you are using a projector for that presentation, probably better check it works and the venue will be suitable. Time making sure everything is OK is time very well spent. Again this applies particularly to live events but more generally as well.

5. Contingency - What if? Nobody wants to dwell on the negatives but you have to consider it. What if the add goes out late, what if the projector fails? Of course unexpected things can happen over which you have no control but make sure most of the bases are covered so you have a fall back plan that you can go to quickly.

Any time you spend on this will be time well spent. Even the act of considering what might go wrong will help you think through your message more clearly, determining how you could get it across differently should the need arise. It is tempting to wing it sometimes, and in certain situations you have to. However most possibilities can be foreseen to some extent, and even something totally unexpected will not phase you if you have been through the planning scenario.

Marketing your business is too important to leave to chance. Heading out on a wing and a prayer will put you under stress and risk you sending all the wrong messages about the business.
